I am a product of humble beginnings in Pensacola, Florida. I was raised by a single father, David, who worked two jobs to make ends meet. From nights spent bouncing between Motel 6 and Red Roof Inn, to finally moving into a one bedroom apartment at 11 and our first rental home at 13, I learned early that stability is earned not given. When I wasn’t playing sports or my dad and I weren't going back and forth to Louisiana, I was sketching clothing designs on PowerPoint of pieces I wished I could afford. At 16, I worked at Wendy’s and saved every paycheck to buy Jordans, Vans, or LeBrons every few months, not for status, but because looking presentable made me feel like the best version of myself.

With long hours balancing school, work, and sports, I admit my study habits faltered. Nonetheless, I made a way & as a result I received letters from Stanford and LSU by 10th grade. Only to realize my family couldn’t afford such an education. I am here today because of fee waivers, grants, and scholarships. I am a product of faith, low income neighborhoods, resilience, and of doing everything possible to create a way forward with what I call the "Winner Mentality."

I grew up telling myself I wanted to run someone's warehouse business. With a Bachelors in Business Information Systems and a Masters in Operations Management & Supply Chain from the University of Florida, I came to a realization: I wanted to build a business that leaves a legacy. That is why I founded The Black Wealthy Institution. My vision is simple yet powerful: to establish a fashion house that unites quality apparel and lifestyle goods with a mission to invest in families, students, and athletes through an initiative I call "Studio B."

If you believe that looking presentable helps you step into the best version of yourself… if you believe hard work, discipline, and faith can turn obstacles into opportunity… then you are part of this movement. You are part of The Black Wealthy, where luxury is redefined as creating ambition, ambition creating opportunity, and opportunity leads to building the Best Families, Best Students, and Best Athletes.
